PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly operate a scroll fluid machine even if perpendicularity of a surface of a end plate of a fixed scroll or a turning scroll in relation to a turning axis is irregular. SOLUTION: A non-contact part is provided between a mating end plate and a seal member S provided on a tip surface of at lease one of a turning lap 9 and a fixed lap 5 over an appropriate range of an outer circumference part separate from a turning center of the turning lap 9 at an overlapping part of the turning lap 9 and the fixed lap 5.
