The stand has a camera fastener, an upper and a lower grip, and a turnable/pivoted connector between fastener and upper grip. A flexible U-shaped holder bracket (4) between upper and lower grips (3,7) mostly prevents vibrations caused by control and steering movements via the lower grip, from reaching the camera. The bracket is rigid in vertical direction, and flexible in horizontal direction. The lower part of the bracket is connected via the lower grip to one or more counterweights (6), which are connected to each other via bars (5). A camera can also be fastened directly to the counterweight, to give a low level view.
