PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diene rubber/aluminum hydroxide composite with the aluminum hydroxide dispersed in high purity and homogeneously, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The method comprises the successive steps of preparing an aluminum-containing suspension adjusted to pH5.1-8.4 and mixing the suspension and a diene rubber dispersion together to effect co-coagulation of the diene rubber and aluminum hydroxide, wherein it is preferable that the diene rubber dispersion be a latex obtained by emulsion polymerization and the aluminum-containing suspension be such as to be prepared using an aluminum salt including an aluminate or using an organoaluminum compound, water, and an acid or alkali.
