PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rinsing agent for tableware, which is excellent in capability of controlling water spots, is lowly foaming and has high storage stability. SOLUTION: The water-base rinsing agent for tableware contains any one of the following fatty acid polyglycerides (1) to (4): (1) a fatty acid polyglyceride obtained by subjecting a fatty acid to addition polymerization with glycidol; (2) a fatty acid polyglyceride obtained by subjecting a fatty acid to addition polymerization with glycidol, and esterifying the obtained polymer with a fatty acid; (3) a fatty acid polyglyceride obtained by subjecting glycerin to addition polymerization with glycidol to give a polyglycerin, and esterifying the polyglycerin with a fatty acid; and (4) a fatty acid polyglyceride obtained by subjecting a fatty acid to addition polymerization with glycidol and hydrolyzing the addition polymer to give a polyglycerin, and esterifying the polyglycerin with a fatty acid.
