PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide favorable speed change quality by correcting irregularity in characteristics for each item before promotion of learning by real driving. SOLUTION: Rotation difference between input rotation number Nin of a torque converter and turbine rotation number Nt is compared with target rotation differenceΔN to be increased/decreased by feedback (S6, S7). If the rotation difference is converged to the target rotationΔN or not is determined (S8). If drive duty (duty) when the target rotation differenceΔN is reached is within shipment determination reference, the value is memorized/stored (S10). Difference between the memorized/stored drive duty value (duty) for each automatic transmission and a reference value is written as correction quantity for each automatic transmission to an electronic control device, so that irregularity in characteristics for each automatic transmission is corrected in an initial state of shipment.
