<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: increases occur in a space for attachment and in friction between a switching shaft and part of an air intake pipe, with a switching valve disposed at the air intake pipe provided in parallel to the switching valve in order to lengthen and shorten the length of the air intake pipe corresponding to engine speed, and jointed at the switching shaft to rotate the switching shaft with a drive shaft disposed at one end. <P>SOLUTION: The switching valve (6) is constituted by a pair of cylindrical bodies (10, 10), a solenoid (13) between both the cylindrical bodies (10, 10), and a seal device (16) for an outer periphery surface of the cylindrical bodies (10, 10). The switching valve (6) opens/closes the short air intake pipe among the long/short air intake pipes (2, 2).
