PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a recording medium, having a regular fine structure which can be used for the recording medium and capable of easily obtaining the recording medium having high density and reduced noise and to provide the recording medium. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the recording medium, wherein recording material particles 12 are arranged on a substrate 11 to form the recording layer, comprises the substrate 11 previously provided with at least a position controlling region 13 for controlling the arrangement of the recording material particles 12 and a freely diffusing region 14 in which the arrangement of the recording material particles is performed in a self-organizing way. |
