PURPOSE: A cooling apparatus for a flat display panel is provided to finely adjust a step of a glass, thereby uniformly cooling the back of the glass. CONSTITUTION: A lower stage(100) has a protruded member(120) formed on an inner surface of an upper side, and provides cooling gas provided from the outside. An upper stage(300) has an outer surface of a lower side combined with an outer surface of the upper side of the lower stage, and an inner surface of the lower side separated from the inner surface of the upper side of the lower stage at a certain distance. The upper stage circulates the cooling gas through a space formed by the separation for cooling the back of an object to be cooled. A buffer member(200) is formed between the lower stage and the upper stage for adjusting a separation distance between the upper stage and the lower stage.
