PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a display panel capable of surely sealing and joining the sealing gap parts of the display panel by molten solder and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: A sealing and joining device A has a stepped surface plate 52 for holding a supply column 51 in a low section. A molten solder feeder 60 is installed around the side wall section of the supply column 51. The supply column 51 is equipped with a crucible section 61 for storing solder (a) and an introducing section 63 opening toward a direction where an organic EL element 100 is placed. An introducing port 65 is connected to the introducing section 63 through a flexible introducing path 64. An oscillator 67 is fixed in the introducing port 65. On the other hand, a vibration generator 69 which generates vibrations of an ultrasonic region in the lower part thereof and is coupled through a shaft 68 to an oscillator 67 is fixed in the outer section of the supply column 51. The introducing port 65, the oscillator 67, the shaft 68 and the vibration generator 69 are aligned along the longitudinal direction X of the introducing port 65. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
