The present invention relates to a device (1) for irrigation of externally debouching, natural or artificial body canals of animals or human beings. The device comprises a catheter (2), and optionally a container (3) designed for containing irrigation medium (4) and a tube member (5) connecting the catheter (2) with the container (3). The catheter is provided with a fixation member (6) for fixation of the catheter inside the body canal and for providing a liquid tight seal between the catheter (2) and the body canal, which fixation member (6) automatically fixates and seals around the catheter (2) when placed in the body canal. The invention further relates to a method of producing the device. Finally, the invention relates to the use of the device (1) for performing irrigation on a person. |
