PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice making machine allowing the detection of icing phenomenon in an ice storage shed. SOLUTION: An up-and-down movable detection plate 4 is provided in the ice storage shed 1, and an ice storage switch 5 is mounted thereon which is ON when the detection plate 4 is moved up to a full ice detection position H, and is OFF when it is moved down from the full ice detection position H to a release position L. When the ice storage switch 5 is ON, an ice making control part 16 of a controller 8 stops ice making in an ice making part 6 once, and when the ice storage switch 5 is OFF, it restarts ice making in the ice making part 6. A trouble detection part 17 of the controller 8 counts an opening time To for a shutter 2 each time opening the shutter 2 when the ice storage switch 5 is ON, and determines the icing phenomenon in the ice storage shed 1 when the ice storage switch 5 is still ON after an cumulative total Ts of a counting time reaches a set time Tc.
