COLOR IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING MICROCAPSULE TONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming apparatus that performs a printing process in which color development is efficient and displacement is prevented by placing microcapsule toner only in an area necessary for printing. SOLUTION: An image pixel group layer 69 before color development of capsule toner T is arranged and developed on a photoreceptor drum 67 by an optical writing head 66 and a development unit 68. The layer 69 is then transferred to an intermediate transfer roller 71 coated with a standing-wave preventive layer 72. The layer 69 is next conveyed to an area opposite to a ultrasonic wave line head 73, in which the layer 72 is developed in desired colors by a ultrasonic wave selectively converged and emitted based on image data. An area between the ultrasonic wave emission part of the ultrasonic wave line head 73 and a resin head case 76 is filled with a jelly member, an area between the resin head case 76 and a rotary sleeve 78 is filled with a liquid A79, and a color development area between a rotary sleeve 78 and the intermediate transfer roller 71 is filled with a liquid B 83. Thus, a gas phase is removed from a ultrasonic wave transmission path that extends to the pixel group layer 69 of the capsule toner T. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
