The present invention relates to an electrical connector apparatus, system a nd method for use with medical devices. In an alternative embodiment, the apparatus of the present invention comprises a first component comprising a first electrical connector adapted to electrically couple with a medical device, and a second component for establishing a connection with an electrical circuit, preferably a microprocessor. The device of the present invention is especially suited for use with medical devices useful in detecting extravasation in an individual undergoing a fluid injection procedure, because it allows for patient mobility, ease of connection and disconnection and more efficient use of medical equipment such as CT scannin g equipment.
