PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a latching/ejecting mechanism in a driving device having a housing to be loaded with a magnetic disk cartridge. SOLUTION: The driving device 20 provided with a cartridge latching/ejecting mechanism 40 comprises a cam 42 with a slide groove 50 formed with a latch corner 52a for latching a drive shaft 42b and a latch release corner 52b adjacent to the latch corner 52a, an engagement member 41 with an engagement part 41a to be engaged with the notch 8 arranged on the magnetic disk cartridge 1 and a drive shaft 41b sliding in the slide groove 50, and an elastic member 43 for energizing the engagement member 41 in the direction of taking out the magnetic disk cartridge 1.
