HEAVYWEIGHT CONCRETE AND HEAVYWEIGHT MORTAR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide heavyweight concrete and heavy weight mortar for which copper slag is effectively utilized and which have excellent workability.

SOLUTION: The copper slag is used as coarse aggregate and fine aggregate for the heavyweight concrete. The specific gravity of the heavyweight concrete is controlled to 2.90-3.10. The copper slag is used as fine aggregate for the heavy mortar and the specific gravity of the heavy mortar is controlled to 2.50-2.80. The quantity of copper slag to be deposited after being produced and treated as industrial waste before long is reduced by using the copper slag as the coarse aggregate and the fine aggregate. The high specific gravity heavyweight concrete and mortar with the improved workability are obtained without using iron ore or the like of a resource by controlling the specific gravity of the heavyweight concrete and the heavyweight mortar respectively to 2.90-3.10 and 2.50-2.80.
