Specifically, the chromatograph comprising an injector for injecting a sample into an eluant, a pre-heating unit for controlling the temperature of a sample solution before the sample solution flows into a column oven, a separation column for separating the sample, the column oven for controlling the temperature of the separation column, a sensor for detecting the separated sample, and a data processor for creating a chromatogram on the basis of data acquired by the sensor and controlling the other components is characterized in that the data processor has condition setting means for setting a desired condition of the chromatogram and pre-heating unit control means for judging whether or not the chromatogram after a plurality of analysises of a reference sample matches the condition preset by the condition setting means and performing control to change the preset temperature of the pre-heating unit if the chromatogram does not match the condition. With this constitution, a condition, such as the reproducibility or symmetry, most suitable for outputting a chromatogram desired by the measurer can be readily set.
