摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air spring height adjusting mechanism for a railroad car capable of controlling the air supply and exhaust to/from an air spring without changing the characteristic of an air spring height adjusting device. SOLUTION: The railroad car is structured so that its body 1 is supported by the air spring 3 attached to a bogie frame 2a and is equipped with a track information retaining means to retain the track information to be stored previously or acquired when the car passes a ground shoe, a height adjusting valve 4 installed on the body 1 for adjusting the height of the air spring 3 in accordance with the relative height of the bogie frame 2a with the body 1, a lever 5 to be mounted on an actuating shaft 4a for actuating the height adjusting valve 4, and a connecting rod 6 whose one side is supported on the bogie frame 2a rotatably and other side is supported by the lever 5 rotatably. The connecting rod 6 is formed capable of expanding and contracting in accordance with the track information. This enables controlling the air supply and exhaust to/from the air spring without changing the characteristic of the air spring height adjusting device, and the running speed in a mildly curving division can be enhanced.
