PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably dispense an article from an article storage rack to an article receiver. SOLUTION: When a drive part 15 is driven, and a set time (ON time) elapses after an article detection sensor 66A has detected an article, a start of article dispensing is determined. When a set time (OFF time) elapses after the article detection sensor 66A has detected the article last, an end of article dispensing is determined, and the drive part 15 is stopped. Alternatively, when the drive part 15 is driven, and an article detection sensor 66B or article detection sensor 66C detects an article between the time when the article detection sensor 66A has detected the article and the time when the given time (OFF time) elapses, an end of article dispensing is determined, and the drive part 15 is stopped.
