<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate ink jet recording material which is composed mainly of a natural pulp material, is environmentally friendly, and shows very high strength, and weatherability, successful curling properties, surface characteristics and ink absorptivity. <P>SOLUTION: A plate base material has at least two pieces of polyolefin resin-coated paper having a polyolefin resin layer laminated on at least one of the surfaces of a base paper. The plate ink jet recording material has an ink jet recording material laminated on at least one of the surfaces of the plate base material.
