PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily discriminate that data recorded in a disk is a musical piece data checked out according to the NetMD standard. SOLUTION: When a computer 12 checks out the musical piece data, a central control part 23 of the recording and reproducing device 11 additionally records identification information at the head of a title data contained in UTOC information of the disk 1. Then, when reproducing the musical piece, the central control part 23 makes a display part 26 perform this display. Thus, it is easily discriminated whether or not this musical piece data is checked out according to the NetMD standard by confirming the identification information added to the title data displayed on the display part 26.
