PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device which reduces improper data by detecting the improper data by leakage of RF signals of adjacent tracks and by adjusting the servo control parameter of an optical pickup based on the detection result. SOLUTION: An optical disk device which has the servo control means of an optical pickup for irradiating an optical disk with light and in which the servo control means controls the optical pickup based on a prepit signal for searching the position of the reproduction and/or the recording of the optical disk is equipped with an improper signal detecting means which detects an improper signal which is generated in extracting the prepit signal and serves as a control parameter adjusting means which adjusts the control parameter of the servo control means based on the detection result.
