<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document management system capable of efficiently retrieving reference electronic documents from a large amount of electronic documents accumulated. <P>SOLUTION: The document management system includes an electronic document storage means 21 capable of fetching from among the stored electronic documents those satisfying the requirements for at least one attribute; an electronic document display means 14 capable of displaying on a screen at least one of the attributes of the electronic documents fetched from the electronic document storage means 21; an attribute value converting means 15 capable of obtaining coordinate values as real numbers corresponding to at least two of the attributes of some or all of the electronic documents stored in the storage means 21, when an assembly of all or some of the documents is given; a coordinate axis designating means 12 enabling a user to select and designate at least two attributes; and a coordinate plane display means 13 capable of displaying on the screen an area with a virtual coordinate plane whose coordinate axes use the coordinate values corresponding to the two attributes selected by the user from among the attributes designated by the coordinate axis designating means 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
