PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove a neutral metal from liquid containing a neutral metal without requiring a large facility or using a toxic medical agent and a heavy metal. SOLUTION: A method for removing a neutral metal is processed by using an active carbon whose specific surface area is not less than 500 m2/g and contains nitrogen not less than 1% by weight.
