PURPOSE: A recording control device of an input signal and a control method are provided to enable a user to watch other input signal different from a recording input signal through an outer image apparatus while recording the input signal, thereby removing an inconvenience of stopping the recording to watch the other input signal different from the recording input signal. CONSTITUTION: Switches(11,12) selectively output plural input signals. The first ADC(20) converts the outputted input signals into digital signals to record the signals. The second ADC(21) converts the input signals into digital signals to output the signals to an outer image apparatus. An MPEG encoder(30) converts the digital data outputted from the first ADC(20) into a predetermined format, and records the digital data. An encoder(60) processes the recorded data or the data outputted from the second ADC(21), and outputs the processed data to the outer image apparatus. A microcomputer(50) controls switching operations of the switches(11,12).
