<p>At relevant spots in a logistics chain, a local computer system exchanges data with a central computer system (CCS) to identify each component clearly, and component-related data is recorded on a form for each individual component. Transmitted via remote data transmission lines to the CCS, the form is updated as a standardized data record and stored in a CCS database.
