<p>A method for fitting retaining grips, e.g. for securing retaining mesh in underground workings has clamps (1) with grip ends (4) to hook over the support steel frame (3) and with threaded shafts (7) operated by a hand crank (6) to press onto frame sections (2) via a thrust plate. The fitted grips can support protective mesh which prevents debris falling onto operators and onto which concrete is sprayed.</p> |
