PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker optimally adjusting the water quantity and controlling the optimal rice cooking. SOLUTION: This rice cooker is provided with a rice cooker body 21 and a measurement body 29 on which the rice cooker body is detachably mounted. The rice cooker body is provided with a pot, a pot heating means 25 heating the pot and a lid 24 covering an opening part of the pot. The measurement body is provided with a weight measuring means 30 measuring the weight of the rice cooker body. The weight measuring means is provided with a leaf spring 34 deflected by the weight when the rice cooker body is mounted and a strain sensor 35 detecting the deflection of the leaf spring. The weights of the rice cooker body 21 and the contents of the pot 23 are thus measured through a measurement mount 31 by the weight measuring means 30 having the leaf spring 34 and the strain sensor 35. The weight measuring means 30 measures the weights of the rice and water along with the pot 23 to optimally adjust the water quantity, and constantly measures the weight during cooking even when closing the lid and cooking so as to optimally control the rice cooking based on the weight change in the cooking during cooking.
