The suspension maintains a load (1) at constant attitude by compensating movement of the suspension (2), using two elastic actuators in parallel (A,B), with the secondary actuator (B) relieving the principle actuator (A) so the principle actuator can supply energy in two senses. A damper (D) has its fluid flow automatically controlled at high frequencies by a sensor (M) on the load.
