<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a node apparatus wherein reception processing sections with different rearrangement capability of received packets are intermingled, in a packet transmission system wherein node apparatuses are connected by parallel multiplex transmission paths, transmission packets each attached with a sequence number are shared with/transmitted through the parallel multiplex transmission paths and the packets are rearranged in the order corresponding to transmission on the basis of the sequence number at reception. <P>SOLUTION: The node apparatus is provided with: a means for reading an identifier of each reception section, to which the identifier is set; a means whereby the identifier is shared among nodes; and a switch means for varying a switching condition of a packet in response to the identifier of the reception section to which a packet destination terminal is connected, and the number of transmission paths with which the packets are shared is decreased as the reception section to which the packet destination terminal is connected has a smaller packet rearrangement capability. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
