<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing unconformity of state information in a recording section from taking place, the unconformity being due to a difference between items required and registered by an information processing terminal and items required and registered by internal supervision of the image forming apparatus, and capable of preventing the performance of internal USB communication from being deteriorated due to reception of unnecessary information. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is a system for registering state information of the recording section necessary for internal supervision even at start of a local recording operation such as copy recording and facsimile reception recording. Since an information processing terminal is connected to the image forming apparatus and the state information of the recording section is registered through driver software, even when the items of the state information of the recording section having already been registered for the internal supervision of the image forming apparatus are overwritten when powered on, only the items of the state information in the recording section for the internal supervision is again registered at the start-up of a local recording operation thereafter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
