PURPOSE: A limit switch is provided to prevent a current leakage between an input terminal and an output terminal by separating terminal supports and covering the tops of the terminal supports with water-resistant rubber caps. CONSTITUTION: A limit switch(100) comprises a main body(110) having a hollow inside and an opening formed at the bottom of the main body; a mover(120) protruded outward from the main body, and which rotates at a predetermined angle in accordance with the physical contact of an elevator; a support rotating body(130) coupled with the mover and supported by the main body such that the support rotating body rotates in the main body in accordance with the rotation of the mover; an open/shut terminal support piece(140) coupled to the support rotating body in the main body, and which has an Y-shaped open/shut terminal(145) coupled through a fixing hole(141), and an insertion groove(142) for moving the Y-shaped open/shut terminal only in a single direction, wherein the open/shut terminal support piece moves the Y-shaped open/shut terminal in accordance with the rotation of the support rotating body; a terminal support(150) protruded from a surface of the main body, wherein the terminal support has an input terminal or an output terminal(152) inserted in the terminal support, and a top covered with a water-resistant cap(155); and a plurality of connection terminals(160) arranged in the main body, and connected to the input and output terminals inserted in the terminal support, wherein the connection terminals open a current path by selectively contacting the open/shut terminal of the open/shut terminal support piece.
