PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time required for an entire process for improving working efficiency by performing two processes of a scattering (aligning) process to the measurement surface of a granular object to be inspected and a photometry process at the same period. SOLUTION: For the movement of a head section 34, the passing speed of the head section 34 is calculated from timeΔt passing through distance L between a scan start position sensor 38 and a distance measurement position sensor 42, and setting is made so that the traveling speed of a hopper unit and the rotation linear velocity of a rotary valve 54 become the same as the traveling speed of the head section 34, thus performing the scattering of grains and photometry in parallel. Additionally, even if a read resolution or the like at the scanner section 24 is changed, or the rated traveling speed of the head section 34 is changed because of a change in specifications, new exchange, or the like in the scanner section 24, the change can be coped with, without changing software.
