<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphite-sphering facility which prevents a transportation facility installed right under a lid from being damaged by the drop of a base metal stuck to the lid when molten cast iron for ductile casting is smelted by adding a graphite-sphering agent such as metallic Mg or a Mg alloy. <P>SOLUTION: The graphite sphering facility 1 is provided with Mg-supplying means 10 and 11 for supplying metallic Mg or a Mg alloy into a treatment vessel 8 containing molten cast iron, a lid 13 for covering the opening of the treatment vessel, a transportation means 4 for transporting the treatment vessel, a base metal-receiving plate 16 which has one end side connected with a fixed axis 17 and is made rotatable by making the fixed axis as a rotating shaft, and a driving means 20 for rotating the base metal-receiving plate. The facility 1 has such a configuration that after the treatment vessel to which Mg has been supplied by the Mg-supplying means is transported from the position right under the lid by the transportation means, the base metal-receiving plate is rotated to the position right under the lid by the driving means and receives the base metal peeled off and dropping from the lid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
