PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict deflection of the opposite side to the recording element substrate side of a supporting member although the deflection is brought about due to less expansion of the opposite side while the recording element substrate side expands as a result of a temperature difference between the recording element substrate side and the opposite face when the neighborhood of the supporting member is heated by heat of a recording element substrate generated at the time of printing. SOLUTION: An inkjet recording head 1 has the recording element substrate 101 where a plurality of recording elements are arranged on the substrate for discharging a recording liquid, and an ink supply port is set for supplying ink from a rear face of the substrate; an ink supply path for supplying the ink to the recording element substrate; and the supporting member 108 for holding and fixing the recording element substrate.
