A mixer for a product in a container (2) with a cylindrical side wall comprises a central shaft (1) positioned coaxially with the container wall and having an assembly of evenly-spaced paddles (4) on its lower end, and one or more inclined blades (5). The blades are set close to the cylindrical wall of the container, run in uniform spirals between their upper and lower ends, and have a length equivalent to 20-100% of the container's circumference. The mixer can have, e.g. two symmetrical spiral blades, each with a length equivalent to 10-50% of the container's circumference and having their upper and lower ends connected to the shaft and paddles by rods (6, 7). Additional rods (9) connect the middle of the blades to the shaft, and the upper and middle rods are positioned radially.
