PURPOSE: To obtain a foam which is excellent in shock absorption and vibration dissipation and is useful as a cushioning material by admixing a specific conju gated diene polymer to a polyolefin resin. CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 pts.wt. of a polyolefin resin and (B) 10-100 pts.wt. of a conjugated diene polymer having the peak value of tanδobtained by measurement of dynamic viscoelasticity in the temperature range of 20-40 deg.C are mixed and foamed to give the objective foam with the shock absorption of 10-50% and the vibration dissipation of >=0.1% at 20 deg.C. It is preferred that the component A comprises (i) a polyethylene resin and (ii) a polypropylene resin at a ratio i/(i+ii) of 0.2-0.8, while the component B is a styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer, and the foamed product is an electron beam-crossklinked foam having the modability of >=0.4 and the degree of crosslinking of 15-80% and 2-40% times magnification. |
