A static mixer (1) is provided with an inner inlet tube (2) for a first solution, and an outer inlet tube (4) for a second solution, the inner inlet tube being used to create turbulence in the flow of second solution. The two solutions are mixed together in an outer part (3) of the mixer. A device for mixing solutions in order to form artificial sediment for post-treatment of contaminated water environments comprises a static mixer with an inner inlet tube for supplying a solution which is mixed and reacted with a second solution in the outer part of the mixer, the second solution being supplied via an outer inlet tube. The second solution is forced to travel along the outer wall (5) of the mixer and the angle of inner inlet pipe mouth (6) forces the flow of second solution to change direction, creating turbulence and therefore providing a more suitable environment for the two solutions to react together in outside the mixer mouth (7).
