PURPOSE: An engine and a manufacturing method of the engine are provided to allow a change of specifications and to selectively manufacture gear trains of engines of different specifications via common components. CONSTITUTION: A engine interlocks a pump(39) for compulsively sending fuel by the power of a crankshaft(1). A pair of gears(32a,32b) is attached to one gear attachment shaft(32). At least one of the gears is installed to the one attachment shaft. The power of the crankshaft is transmitted to the pump through a gear train(14) having at least one of the gears as a component.
