FIELD: technology for recording, editing and reading of digital information signals in real-time. ^ SUBSTANCE: method includes different measures allowing concurrent reading and recording of information in real-time, such as digital video signal, on disk-like carrier. These measures include a requirement to size of information blocks, recorded in fragmentary areas of fixed size on data carrier, and may require reordering of reading operations in cycle of reading/writing. Also, method includes measures to provide for reproduction and seamless editing (montage).
