<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the light emitting efficiency of a light emitting device possible to be remarkably enhaned, to make suppressible the temperature rise of a light emitting element so as to maintain the life of the light emitting element even if inputted driving current is raised for raising the light output of the light emitting element, and to effectively suppress a drop of light output due to heat. <P>SOLUTION: A package for storing the light emitting element is provided with a substrate 2 which has a mounting part 2a where the light emitting element 4 is mounted at a center of an upper face and is formed of a metal, and a frame body 3 whose inner peripheral face is bonded with a glass material or resin adhesive over the whole inside periphery on the side surface of the substrate 2 so that it surrounds the mounting part 2a and which is made of a metal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
