PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain good image data without distortion in displaying a tumor-containing tissue as an ultrasonic three-dimensional image in the field of ultrasonic diagnosis in a body cavity. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus comprises a detection means for detecting the position and orientation of the scanning flat plane of electronic scanning of an electronic scan type ultrasonic probe as one of a magnetic field transmitting means or a magnetic field receiving means fixed at a prescribed position moves integrally with an ultrasonic vibrator when the electronic scan type ultrasonic probe is manually inserted/drawn out, and a plural tomogram processing means for preparing a plurality of ultrasonic tomograms in different directions from one another based on a plurality of ultrasonic tomogram data continuously obtained by the electronic scanning repeatedly performed by manually inserting/drawing out the electronic scan type ultrasonic probe.
