PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an electronic watermark processing for blocking destruction, removal, addition or change. SOLUTION: An electronic watermark in a data file is generated at a plurality of positions within the file. A position of each electronic watermark except for a first electronic watermark is designated by a previous electronic watermark or by the other auxiliary information of the same logic block as the previous electronic watermark. A first block 100 includes an electronic watermark (indicated with black dots). The watermark (auxiliary data) of the first block designates a starting position of the next electronic watermark and a plurality of continuous blocks. The block 100 includes data designating that the next watermark is located in a block 102 and three continuous blocks to be started in the block 102 include electronic watermarks.
