<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for finishing a surface of a cylinder capable of finishing an outer peripheral surface of a coated metal layer formed by thermal spraying on an outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical cylinder body by an operation in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: For the method for finishing the surface of the cylinder wherein the coated metal layer 2 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder body 1 by spraying a coating metal onto an outer peripheral surface of the metal-made cylinder body 1 forming an almost cylindrical shape, the method comprises an axial direction transferring process wherein a brush 12 and a cylinder 4 are relatively moved in an axial direction of the cylinder 4 under a pressed state wherein tip parts of some metal made wire like bodies 10 - in a brush 12 rotating by specific number of rotations around a rotary axis in an orthogonal direction to an axial core of the cylinder 4, and a rotary process wherein the brush 12 and the cylinder 4 are relatively rotated around the axial core of the cylinder 4 so that the brush 12 and the cylinder 4 are relatively rotated around the axial core of the cylinder 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
