摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch and an optical switch device, which equalize the optical path lengths necessary for optical communication of optical paths comprising a plurality of optical fibers, and secure a favorable propagation state of light. SOLUTION: Optical fibers 2 to 5 parallel to each other at various intervals are assigned as ADD, OUT, IN and DROP to be used for an add-drop system. Two optical paths are formed: an ADD-OUT optical path in the optical path length of A+2E from the optical fiber 2 to the optical fiber 3 by way of a fixed mirror 6a and a movable mirror 7a; and an IN-DROP optical path in the optical path length of C+2E from the optical fiber 4 to the optical fiber 5 by way of a movable mirror 7b and a fixed mirror 6d. When the movable mirrors 7a, 7b are retracted, two optical paths are formed: an ADD-DROP optical path in the optical path length of A+B+C+2E from the optical fiber 2 to the optical fiber 5 by way of the fixed mirrors 6a and 6d; and an IN-OUT optical path in the optical path length of B+2D+2E from the optical fiber 4 to the optical fiber 3 by way of the fixed mirrors 6c and 6b. Three optical paths except for the ADD-DROP are made in the same length by controlling the optical path lengths to satisfy A=C=B+2D. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
