CHEMITHERMO MECHANICAL PULP AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE PULP AND APPLICATION THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To primarily provide a production technique of a chemithermo mechanical pulp using only Cryptomeria japonica grown in Japan as a raw material and to secondarily provide the chemithermo mechanical pulp and to thirdly provide a newsprint paper in which the chemithermo mechanical pulp is formulated. SOLUTION: The high-quality chemithermo mechanical pulp is obtained in high yield by treating a chip raw material composed of 100% Cryptomeria japonica with a production process of a chemithermo mechanical pulp including steps comprising [preliminary treatment of the chip by sodium sulfite having an initial pH of 7.0-9.5], [fibrillation by a primary refining in which a refining segment having a dam with 4 or 5-steps is attached] and [beating by secondary refining].
