PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer assisting apparatus capable of moving a care-receiver without applying a psychological resistance feeling and bodily load to the care-receiver. SOLUTION: The transfer assisting apparatus 20 has a base stand 1 having front wheels 7 and rear wheels 8, the support part 2 vertically provided on the base stand 1 and an arm part 4 one end of which is attached to the support part 2 rotatably. A holding part 10 for holding the care-receiver is provided to the other end of the arm part 4 and the arm parts 4 are tilted with respect to the base stand 1 by a linear actuator 3 to raise the upper half of the care-receiver to transfer the care-receiver to the base stand 1. Further, the base stand 1 is formed into a box and plate shape, and a seat part 5 and a footrest 6 are attached to the upper surface of the base stand 1. Furthermore, the support part 2 and the footrest 6 are connected to the slider 15 attached within the base stand 1 so as to be slidable with respect to the base stand 1 and can slide integrally with respect to the base stand 1.
