PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to improve the outer shape by covering a fixing groove of a support rib not to be shown to users and to prevent the refrigerator from being polluted by foreign materials inserted into the fixing groove. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator is composed of at least one refrigerating compartment; shelves(10) installed to the refrigerating compartment for loading articles and having a fixing unit(11); a pair of support ribs(20) having a plurality of fixing grooves(21) arranged on a rear wall surface of the refrigerating compartment at the predetermined intervals to support the shelves and hang the fixing units along the longitudinal direction; and a cover unit(30) disposed to the support rib to shield the fixing grooves of the support ribs. The cover unit comprises a fixing frame(31) detachably fastened and combined to the support rib and a pair of sliders(33) housed in the fixing frame to extract from each end of the fixing frame in the opposite direction. The slider moves along the support ribs in drawing out from the fixing frame.
