PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave drying device for monolithic refractory capable of suppressing the adverse effect of microwave on human body by suppressing or preventing the leakage of microwave, improving working environment, and sufficiently secure safety even when a ground type drying furnace body is used. SOLUTION: An opening part 14 is formed in the side part of the ground type drying furnace body 15 having a microwave release port 31 formed in a ceiling part 17 or side wall parts 18 and 19. The drying furnace body comprises a door 16 capable of opening/closing the opening part 14 and pressing means 32 and 33 capable of pressing the door 16 against the drying furnace body 15. When the drying furnace body is used, after a material to be dried 11 is charged into the drying furnace body 15, the door 16 is arranged at the opening part 14, and the door 16 is pressed against the peripheral edge 46 of the opening part 14 of the drying furnace body 15 by the pressing means 32 and 33 to seal the drying furnace body 15.
