The sun blind has a blind material web (20) wound onto a winding reel (22) and fitted with an end profile (18) at its free end. The end profile has a slider (16) at each side, cooperating with a counter-tension drive for deployment of the blind, employing a cog belt passed around a driven cog disc (28) at one end and a deflection cog at the opposite end, the tension force of the blind opposed by an stop for the end profile in the retracted position.
