PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly and efficiently sort glass with a target composition from glass cullet containing at least two kinds of glasses different in composition. SOLUTION: This glass cullet sorting apparatus is equipped with a means (1) for irradiating the glass cullet with a laser beam, a means (2) for spectrally diffracting Raman scattered beam obtained by irradiating the glass cullet with the laser beam, a means (3) for discriminating a glass composition on the basis of a difference in Raman spectrum to specify glass to be removed and a means (4) for removing the glass to be removed.
